Vi Power Spikes (Patch 26.19)
TopWhen Vi Top gets stronger, in the order it happens in a typical ranked game: ability unlocks from the most common skill order, item spikes at the median minute players finish them, and the game length Vi wins most.
- Lv 3All three basic abilities at level 3Vi's full combo is online — the first point where trading all-in is realistic.
- Lv 6Ultimate rank 1 at level 6The biggest early spike: look for a kill or a roam as soon as Vi hits it.
- Lv 11Ultimate rank 2 at level 11Lower ultimate cooldown means more fights Vi can start or win.
- Lv 16Ultimate rank 3 at level 16Lower ultimate cooldown means more fights Vi can start or win.
Item timings are medians: half of players finish later. Fall behind in farm and every item spike moves back with it.
Vi Top Laning Plan
Vi scales: losing a little gold in lane is normal. Farm safely, avoid early all-ins and win the late game. On average Vi Top is 526 gold behind the lane opponent at 15 minutes and ahead in only 35% of games. Vi averages 1.42 solo kills by 15 minutes.

Vi Mid and Late Game
What Vi does better or worse than other champions after laning, from this patch's ranked games — percentiles where 100 is the highest of every champion.
Play to these strengths
- Vi wins 13.8 points more in long games than short ones: avoid coin-flip fights early and let the game go long.
Mistakes to avoid
- Vi falls behind in CS (18/100): last-hit the waves you can, items still matter.
- Vi is not a damage carry (19/100): don't take fights expecting Vi to win them alone.
Playing Vi
- A fully charged Vault Breaker will deal double damage. It's great for catching and finishing off fleeing enemies.
- Relentless Force does full damage to anyone caught in the shockwave. Use it on minions in lane to hit enemies hiding behind them.
- Cease and Desist is a powerful initiation tool, just remember not to get too far ahead of the rest of your team.
Playing Against Vi
- A fully charged Vault breaker deals double damage. If you see Vi start to charge you should back off or try to dodge it.
- Vi will shred your Armor and gain Attack Speed if she manages to hit you three times in a row. Try not to engage in extended brawls with her.
- Vi cannot be stopped while using her ult. Remember to save your displacement effects until after she's done charging.
