I wanted to restore the Mystic Spring and Eltnen in order to help Atreia, even if only a little, but eventually the Balaur arrived. The Mystic Spring has already been conquered by the Balaur, but I must try to safely remove what remains of our legacy here! I must hide this Purification Device so that none will find it... ... [The rest of the writing is stained and torn and is illegible. The writer of this note appears to have died at the end.]
