Brother, I've got a bad feeling. Maybe joining the Blood Blades was a mistake. I joined up because they fight well and the commander was famed for his boldness. They pay generously and provide plenty of gear, too. In the beginning, everything seemed fine. I really enjoyed hunting down those rotten humans... the ones who can't even awaken but still crave Daeva blood. I figured killing scum like that was no big deal. But... but... you know. I had no idea we were taking orders from those damned Drakan and Fafnir. You wouldn't believe the awful things they do, grabbing anyone they can... young and old alike. It's horrifying. That creepy blue crystal... that unsettling whisper... I feel like I'm going insane. I'm still a Daeva, aren't I? I should've listened to you... I need to get out before this gets worse. If they catch me, Nua will kill me. But I have to get out. I have no choice.
