What is a Sparkling Aniimo?
Sparkling is a rare mutation rolled when a wild Aniimo appears. The game files give almost every species a 0.005% chance — 1 in 20,000 — and a Sparkling Aniimo is cosmetically distinct from an ordinary one of the same species. It is the closest thing Aniimo has to a shiny.
The roll happens on the encounter, not on the catch, so a Sparkling that flees was still Sparkling. The rate is the same for every species except Sparkelf (1 in 2,500), and nothing in the game files changes it by region, weather or time of day.

Sparkling vs Prismana
These are two different things, and guides often merge them. The game files keep them apart:
- Sparkling is a mutation rolled on a wild encounter, at 1 in 20,000, for any species.
- Prismana is a separate form — 35 of them exist, across 35 species — reached through Prismana Flow, with its own elements on some species.
- They are independent, so a Prismana form can also roll Sparkling.
A wild Aniimo has a 0.005% chance — 1 in 20,000 — of being Sparkling. The exceptions: Sparkelf (1 in 2,500). That means about 13,863 encounters for an even chance of seeing one, and roughly 46,051 to be reasonably confident. Sparkling is not Prismana: Prismana is a separate form reached through Prismana Flow, and the two can occur together. The rate is read from the game files; the encounter counts are a MetaBot calculation from it.

Can you increase the Sparkling rate in Aniimo?
Nothing in the game files modifies it. If an in-game event or item changes the rate, it is not in the data we read, and we will not guess at a number.
Is a Sparkling Aniimo harder to catch?
No. Catch rate is a property of the species and the Aniipod, and Sparkling does not appear in that calculation — the capture calculator applies to both equally.
