Aniimo Weather: Is There a Schedule? All Weather Forms
Is there a weather schedule in Aniimo? The game files say no. How rain, thunderstorms and snow really work, all 16 weather-only forms and where to wait for each.
Rain in Aniimo is not just scenery. A handful of forms only exist while it is raining, thundering or snowing, and a much bigger group only comes out after dark. If you have ever stood where a creature page says a form lives and found nothing there, the sky is usually the reason. This guide sorts every weather and night condition in the game files, shows where each form lives, and gives you a plan for catching the one-shot spawns without wasting a trip.
What weather actually changes
The game files attach a spawn condition to 83 of the 219 forms. Each condition is written as in-game text, for example "Snowy", "Nighttime" or "Thunderstorm (Only one will appear at the same time, no respawning)". That text is the only authoritative record of weather and time rules: the per-point spawn data lists every spawn as "any" weather and "any" time, so a region or map page on its own will not tell you a form is weather-locked. MetaBot's region progression page quotes all 83 conditions verbatim; the table below is how they break down once you group them.
| Condition | Forms | Example (game wording) |
|---|---|---|
| Rainy, or rainy or thunderstorm | 7 | Nimbi Rainstorm Form: "Rainy" |
| Thunderstorm only | 2 | Scorchhowl Thunderstorm Form: "Thunderstorm" |
| Snowy | 5 | Baleetle Snowfield Form: "Snowy" |
| Snowy, inside snowballs | 1 | Rookey Snowfield Form: "Snowy, hidden inside snowballs" |
| Snowy night | 1 | Pomawk Snowfield Form: "Snowy night" |
| Nighttime | 20 | Bulbly: "Nighttime" |
| Nighttime plus a catch or defeat chain | 6 | Glynsera: "Nighttime — appears after catching 8 Bonesky in a row." |
| Nighttime plus an event | 3 | Pomawk: "Complete the Pomegg Party." |
| Prismana Flow | 16 | Grizbo Prismana: "May appear in the snow mountains of Rosetower Woods during Prismana Flow" |
| Title requirement | 6 | Glacy: "Requires the Student II title." |
| Quest, chest, event or location unlock | 16 | Helmwhelp Mountain Form: "Refreshes after opening the Chest hidden inside the rock." |
Every weather-exclusive form
These are the 16 forms whose condition names rain, thunder or snow. Where the form data has two text fields that disagree, both are quoted. Regions come from the spawn points in the game files; the base catch rate is the form's own value before your Aniipod and the target's state are applied (see the capture calculator).
| Form | Condition (game wording) | Region | Base catch rate | Map |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stellarys Rainstorm Form | "Rainy (Only one will appear at the same time, no respawning)" · condition: "Rainy or thunderstorm" | Forest of Falling Stars | 0.28 | Stellarys on the map |

Every spawn, boss and chest on one live map
MetaBot Desktop maps all of Idyll (spawns, bosses, transporters and chests) and remembers what you've already collected, so you never sweep the same area twice.
- Every spawn point & boss
- Mark pins as collected
- Search & nearest transporter

Region and weather matrix
Use this when you are already in a region and the weather turns. It lists every weather form and every night form that has a spawn point in that region, roughly in level order. Level bands are the region values in the game files.
Two patterns stand out. Russet Highlands holds four of the seven snow forms, so a snowfall there is the single most valuable weather window in the files. And the lowest-level rain forms, Nimbi and Turbo Rainstorm, live in Nimbus Fields (levels 5–15), which makes them the natural first weather hunt for a new player.
How to hunt a weather form efficiently
Since the files give no forecast, the trick is to be ready when the weather arrives rather than to chase it. The steps below are our recommendation, built on what the data does say.
- 1Group targets by weather, not by species
Pick one weather type and list every form you still need in it from the tables above. Rain and thunder cover nine forms across seven regions; snow covers seven across four regions; thunderstorms add two that rain alone will not bring.
- 2Pin the exact spots first
Open each target on the interactive map, for example Nimbi on the map, and note the nearest transporter. Forms with only a clue in the files, such as Rookey's "Near Sanctum: First Sight", are worth scouting in clear weather so you know where to go.
- 3Park in the region with the most targets
Wait for the weather in the region where it unlocks the most forms: Russet Highlands for snow (four forms). For rain no region has more than two, so Nimbus Fields, the lowest-level of them, is the easy pick. Do other work there, such as gathering or Blooms, while you wait.
- 4Take the one-shot spawns first
Six weather forms say "Only one" appears and it does "not respawn". When the weather turns, go to those before the forms that spawn normally, and do not knock them out by accident.
- 5Bring the right Aniipods, skip the HP chip
Capture in the game files has no HP term: the chance is base catch rate × Aniipod multiplier × target-state multiplier. Most weather forms sit at a 0.28 base, and Pawney and Rookey Snowfield at 0.16, so the Aniipod and the target's state are your levers. The catching guide and capture calculator cover the numbers.
- 6Stack conditions when they overlap
If snow falls at night in Rosetower Woods, you have the only window for Pomawk Snowfield Form and can pick up the region's night forms in the same trip.
- 7Tick it off and move on
Track what you still need on the region progression page, which lists every conditional encounter per region, so the next weather change has a ready shopping list.
Night-only Aniimo
Night is the bigger filter: 29 forms carry a "Nighttime" condition, 10 of which also need a catch chain, a defeat chain, an event or a quest. The game text says "in a row" for the chains but not what breaks a streak, so our recommendation is to catch nothing else between counts.
| Aniimo | Night forms and extra requirement | Region |
|---|---|---|
| Sparki | Basic, Highland, Forest and Sea of Flowers Forms: "Nighttime" | Nimbus Fields, Beast Fang Ridge, Blitzwood, Berylline Vale, Russet Highlands, Sea of Flowers, The Mistwoods, Driftwise Meadow |
| Flamerion | "Appears after catching 15 Sparkis in a row."; Highland and Forest Forms need 15 of that form of Sparki "in this area in a row"; Sea of Flowers Form: "Nighttime" | Nimbus Fields, Beast Fang Ridge, Blitzwood, Berylline Vale, Driftwise Meadow, The Mistwoods |
| Wisptis | Basic, Forest and Highland Forms: "Nighttime" | Berylline Vale, The Mistwoods, Blitzwood, Zephyrus Landbridge |
| Ignitis | Basic: "Nighttime"; Forest Form: "Appears after Basic Form Ignitis defeats 6 Forest Form Wisptises." (Highland Form: the same with Highland Form Wisptises) | Berylline Vale, The Mistwoods, Zephyrus Landbridge |
| Bonesky and Glynsera | Nighttime Forms; Glynsera: "Nighttime — appears after catching 8 Bonesky in a row." | No spawn point in the files |
| Fenrier | Nighttime Form | Rosetower Woods |
| Flutternym | Nighttime Form | Rosetower Woods, Sea of Flowers |
| Gracewing | Nighttime Form: "Spawns during the quest The Land Where Dreams Come True." | Sea of Flowers |
| Pomawk | Basic, Highland and Sea of Flowers Forms: "Nighttime" plus "Complete the Pomegg Party." · clue: "Top of Grizbo Cave" | Rosetower Woods |
| Bulbly and Veilfloat | "Nighttime" | Tideblossom Coast |
| Susuta and Popota | Nighttime Forms | Echoback Landing |
| Luminelle, Piopiota and Panpanta | Luminelle Basic: "Nighttime"; Piopiota and Panpanta Nighttime Forms | No spawn point in the files |
Weather vs Prismana vs Sparkling
Three different things make an Aniimo "rare", and players mix them up constantly. They run on separate systems in the game files and none of them feeds another.
- 16 forms need rain, thunder or snow; 29 need night
- The form either spawns in that weather or it does not
- Some are one at a time and do not respawn
- Full list: region progression
- 16 forms carry a "Prismana Flow" spawn condition
- Flow runs through 6 stages of Prismatic energy, from 0 up to 10,500
- The top stage is labelled Full, with a Guaranteed Prismana chance
- Full method: Prismana guide
- A flat 1 in 20,000 in the form data
- No weather, region or time-of-day modifier
- A weather form can roll Sparkling like any other wild form
- Full odds: Sparkling guide
VerdictHunt weather forms for the Aniidex, hunt Prismana through Flow, and treat Sparkling as a bonus that can land on either. The rare forms page explains how Sparkling and Prismana relate in more depth.
| Stage | Prismatic energy from | Area energy | Prismana chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0 | Empty | Trace |
| 2 | 501 | Very Low | Low |
| 3 | 1,501 | Slight | Moderate |
| 4 | 3,001 | Abundant | High |
| 5 | 6,001 | Very High | Extremely High |
| 6 | 10,500 | Full | Guaranteed |
Nothing in the files ties Flow to the weather. Some Prismana spawns sound weather-flavoured, such as Blazen Prismana "under the lightning storm in Blitzwood", but the condition itself is "Prismana Flow", so that is a location hint rather than a weather rule.

Guide FAQ
How do I make it rain or snow in Aniimo?
The game files do not record a way to change the weather, or a schedule for when it changes. They only record which weather each form needs. Our recommendation is to wait in the region with the most targets for that weather, such as [Russet Highlands](/aniimo/regions/russet-highlands) for snow.
Does weather affect Sparkling odds?
No. Every form that has a Sparkling rate in the files (217 of 219) uses the same 1 in 20,000, with no weather, region or time-of-day modifier. See the [Sparkling guide](/aniimo/sparkling).
Which Aniimo only appear in a thunderstorm?
[Scorchhowl](/aniimo/creatures/scorchhowl) Thunderstorm Form in Beast Fang Ridge and [Sherro](/aniimo/creatures/sherro) Thunderstorm Form in Echoback Landing list only "Thunderstorm". Luminelle Rainstorm and Thornblade Thunderstorm Forms say "Thunderstorm" in one field and "Rainy or thunderstorm" in another.
What Aniimo only come out at night?
29 forms, including Sparki, Flamerion, Wisptis, Ignitis, Bulbly, Veilfloat, Pomawk and the Nighttime Forms of Fenrier, Flutternym, Gracewing, Susuta and Popota. The files give no clock time for night.
Do weather forms respawn if I miss them?
The files only attach a no-respawn note to six weather forms (Stellarys Rainstorm, Luminelle Rainstorm, Thornblade, Scorchhowl and Sherro Thunderstorm, Pomawk Snowfield): only one appears at a time and it does not respawn. The other ten carry no such note.
Is Prismana Flow a kind of weather?
No. Prismana Flow is a separate Prismatic energy system with 6 stages, topping out at a Guaranteed Prismana chance, and nothing in the files links it to rain or snow. The [Prismana guide](/aniimo/prismana) covers it.
