Support lane archetypes on patch 26.19

Every champion gets one label from its own numbers: a lane bully holds a clear gold lead at 15, a scaler loses lane but wins late, a snowballer converts big leads far better than it recovers, and a stabilizer keeps winning from behind. Only champions with 200 or more games are listed.

Lane bully

Wins lane consistently and pressures the opponent early: a statistically clear gold lead at 15.

  1. Pantheon+511 gold at 15, ahead in 68% of lanes
  2. Senna+415 gold at 15, ahead in 69% of lanes
  3. Pyke+372 gold at 15, ahead in 68% of lanes
  4. Xerath+355 gold at 15, ahead in 65% of lanes
  5. Vel'Koz+336 gold at 15, ahead in 66% of lanes

Snowballer

Turns a big lead into a win far more often than it recovers from a deficit.

No Support champion fits this profile on the current patch.

Scaler

Survives a rough lane and wins more the longer the game goes.

  1. Soraka−214 gold at 15, win rate climbs +11.1 points into the late game
  2. Braum−255 gold at 15, win rate climbs +10.9 points into the late game
  3. Janna−115 gold at 15, win rate climbs +7.0 points into the late game
  4. Milio−261 gold at 15, win rate climbs +5.0 points into the late game
  5. Yuumi−319 gold at 15, win rate climbs +3.6 points into the late game

Stabilizer

Recovers from deficits often - a lost lane rarely means a lost game.

  1. Renata GlascWins 50% of games from behind (−197 gold at 15)
  2. RakanWins 42% of games from behind (−160 gold at 15)

How to read these stats

The lane opponent is the enemy player in the same role. Every edge is this champion's number minus the opponent's at the 15:00 timeline frame - gold, CS (minions plus monsters) and XP - averaged across games and shown with a 95% confidence interval. A champion is only called "ahead" or "behind" when the whole interval sits on one side of zero; otherwise the edge is within the margin of error.

Lane win rate is the share of games with any gold lead at 15:00. Win rate when ahead and when behind split the same games by that lead, and every such rate carries a Wilson 95% interval; a champion needs 30 games in a band before the number is shown. The 1,000-gold bands isolate big leads and deficits.

Solo kills count unassisted kills on the lane opponent before 15:00; first blood is the share of games where this player took it. Scaling is the late-game win rate minus the early-game win rate, split at the population's average game length, and needs 40 games on each side. Champions under 200 games carry a Low sample tag and never headline the page.

Data: 10,174 ranked Solo/Duo and Flex games on the North American server, patch 26.19, all ranks combined. The rank bands group games by the seeded player's tier: Iron–Silver, Gold–Platinum and Emerald and above. Remakes and non-ranked queues are excluded, and a lane only counts when exactly one player per team holds the role.

LoL Lane Phase FAQ - Support, patch 26.19

Which Support champion wins lane the most on patch 26.19?

Pantheon has the biggest Support lane lead on patch 26.19: +511 gold and +1.5 CS ahead of the lane opponent at 15 minutes on average, ahead in 68% of games, over 284 ranked games.

What does "gold lead at 15" mean?

It is this champion's total gold minus the lane opponent's total gold at the 15-minute mark of the match timeline, averaged over every game where both players have a 15-minute snapshot. A positive number means the champion is usually ahead in lane; the confidence range on each page says whether that lead is statistically clear or within noise.

Does winning lane mean winning the game?

Not by itself. In Support, Sona turns a gold lead at 15 into a win 72% of the time, while Renata Glasc still wins 50% of the games it starts behind. Compare the "win ahead" and "win behind" columns: a champion with a big gap between them lives and dies by its lane, one with a small gap can afford a rough laning phase.

Which Support champions are lane bullies right now?

On patch 26.19, 13 Support champions with a full sample hold a statistically clear gold lead at 15 minutes. The biggest: Pantheon, Senna, Pyke, Xerath, Vel'Koz. A lane bully here means the whole 95% confidence range of the gold edge sits above zero, not just a positive average.

What is lane win rate?

The share of a champion's games in which it had any gold lead over the lane opponent at the 15-minute mark. It ignores the size of the lead, so it pairs with the gold edge: a champion with a high lane win rate but a small average edge wins lane often by a little, while a big edge with a middling lane win rate means occasional blowouts.

Where does this data come from?

From 10,174 ranked Solo/Duo and Flex games on the North American server for patch 26.19, using Riot's match timelines for the 15-minute snapshot. All ranks are combined on this page; the MetaBot desktop app splits the same table into Iron–Silver, Gold–Platinum and Emerald+ brackets. Remakes and non-ranked queues are excluded, and a lane only counts when exactly one player per team holds the role.
