How it works (in-game guide)

Quoted from the game's own tutorial log.

Enchantsmith

At the Enchantsmith, you can enchant and improve items using the enchantment books you've collected.

By leveling up the Enchantsmith with Echo Shards, you can also upgrade the enchantments on your items in exchange for Echo Shards and Enchantment Points.

You can use the same enchantment book on multiple items, and if you disenchant an item your enchantment points will be refunded.

Enchantment points

Enchantment points are used to enchant your items at the Enchantsmith.

You earn one enchantment point each time you level up, and any used enchantment point will be refunded if the item is disenchanted or salvaged.

Artifacts

Artifacts are powerful items that give unique abilities when equipped. You can have a maximum of three artifacts equipped, and you use them by pressing ⌨, ⌨, or ⌨.

Using an artifact costs souls and many artifacts have cooldown periods between uses.

Different artifacts works in different ways, some are one-shot that trigger directly, some are channelling continuously and some charge for a big effect at the end. Use them wisely!

Talismans

Talismans can be equipped to grant potent passive abilities and you can have a maximum of three talismans at the same time.

They will gain XP with you and become more powerful the longer you have them equipped.

Make sure to switch between your talismans to get them to max level to be ready for every type of challenge!

A build has 12 slots: a melee and a ranged weapon, 4 armor pieces, 3 artifacts and 3 talismans. Enchanting costs 1 to 3 Enchantment Points at level I depending on rarity, and you earn one point per level up to level 100. Pick from 58 melee weapons, 22 ranged weapons, 152 armor pieces, 40 artifacts and 24 talismans.
