The Artifact Siege is the scheduled faction battle of the Abyss: 3 times a week, Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at 21:00 server time, Elyos and Asmodians fight over 3 artifacts in Chaotic Lower Reshanta. Each artifact held gives the whole faction an Abyss Point buff – up to "Increases Abyss Points acquired by 7.5%" for all 3.

The Abyss is a lawless land formed by the collapse of AION, where Elyos, Asmodians, and Balaur clash.

In the Abyss, you can attack players of the opposing faction.

    Dimensional Core Spawn

    When the Artifact Siege begins, Dimensional Cores appear at Artifact locations in the Abyss.

  2. 2
    Artifact Occupation

    When a Dimensional Core is destroyed, the artifact can be claimed.

    The faction that delivered the last strike to the Dimensional Core is determined to be the one to have defeated it.

    A set amount of players from the winning faction will receive Abyss Points as a reward based on their contribution.

    Abyss Corridor

    When Artifact Siege ends, an entrance to the Abyss Corridor will open at the artifact's location.

    The faction that occupied the Artifact can enter.

    You can play for 5 minutes.

    If all of a faction's Artifacts on a specific floor have been captured, a separate Abyss Corridor will spawn at that faction's base.

    Only members of the disadvantaged faction can enter.

    You can play for 5 minutes.

    The Artifact capture status and Abyss Corridor entrance will remain until the next Siege or until server matchmaking changes.

The AION 2 Artifact Siege runs Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at 21:00 server time in Chaotic Lower Reshanta, with a 10-minute warning. Dimensional Cores spawn at the 3 artifact sites (Reshanta's Root, Sulfur Tree Island, and Archipelago of Siel's Wings); the faction that lands the last hit on a core claims that artifact and its contributors earn Abyss Points. Held artifacts buff the whole faction's Abyss Point gains – "Increases Abyss Points acquired by 2.5%" for one, "Increases Abyss Points acquired by 7.5%" for all 3 – and after the siege the Abyss Corridor opens for 5 minutes at each captured artifact (or at the base of a faction that lost a whole floor). The Abyss unlocks at level 45. Times are the client's schedule; region time zones are assumed.

What time is the Artifact Siege in AION 2?

How does the Artifact Siege work?

When the siege starts, Dimensional Cores appear at the 3 artifact sites (Reshanta's Root, Sulfur Tree Island, and Archipelago of Siel's Wings). Destroying a core claims the artifact for the faction that landed the last hit, and a set number of that faction's players receive Abyss Points by contribution.

What do the artifact buffs do?

Each artifact your faction holds raises Abyss Point gains for everyone in it: "Increases Abyss Points acquired by 2.5%" with one artifact, up to "Increases Abyss Points acquired by 7.5%" with all 3. The buff table above lists each tier.

What happens after the siege ends?

An Abyss Corridor entrance opens at each artifact for the faction that holds it, playable for 5 minutes. If a faction lost every artifact on a floor, a separate corridor opens at its base for that faction only. Capture status and corridors persist until the next siege or a matchmaking change.

What level unlocks the Abyss and the siege?

The Abyss unlocks at level 45. It is open-PvP: players of the opposing faction can be attacked anywhere in Chaotic Lower Reshanta, siege or not.
