Dimensional Invasions are AION 2's hourly wave-defence events: every hour at :30 server time, every day, one of 3 invasions (Beritra Air Raid, Accursed Sword, and Incursion of the Spirits) launches waves of enemies and bosses somewhere in Verteron and Altgard for a 10-minute round after a 3-minute lobby. Clearing it pays level-scaled rewards, doubled with a Dimensional Invasion Reward Key.

What it is & how to join

The game's own description of the invasions and the story behind each of the 3 events, read from the client.

The Dimensional Invasion events launch waves of enemies and bosses for you to defeat.

They happen randomly in the field at scheduled times and grant rewards when cleared.

  • At :30 past the hour an invasion starts at a random field location in Verteron and Altgard; the game announces it and shows the entry on the map.
  • Join during the 3-minute lobby and fight the waves of enemies and bosses with everyone else for up to 10 minutes.
  • Claim the clear reward; a Dimensional Invasion Reward Key (+1 a day at 16:00 server time, max 7) opens the reward-key package as well. Centuryroot Tokens are spent at the Festival Shop.

Beritra Air Raid10 min—A Beritra Dredgion Transporter has been discovered. This can only mean a massive invasion from the Beritra Brigade. Join forces with other Daeva who refuse to yield, and repel the Balaur assault.
Accursed Sword10 min—At the heart of an ancient battlefield, a cursed blade stands buried, the soul of a fallen Daeva festering within it. Bound by the wraiths of those he once fought in life, he was deprived of eternal rest and his anguish seeped into the land, staining it with darkness. Liberate the revenant from the sword and grant him peace.
Incursion of the Spirits10 min—After the Empyrean Lords Kaisinel and Lumiel disappeared, contracts with the spirits grew weak. In the Spirit Realm of Etheria, an inexplicable anomaly has occurred, causing rifts to appear linking Atreia and Etheria. As Etheria was plunged into chaos, a faction launched an assault on Atreia. Amid the chaos of the two realms, Grandios leads a legion of spirits, aiming to become ruler of Atreia.

When are Dimensional Invasions in AION 2?

Every hour at :30 server time, every day – half an hour offset from the Shugo Festival at :00. The countdown at the top shows the next start for your server region and in your own time.

How do I join a Dimensional Invasion?

Invasions happen at random field locations in Verteron and Altgard; the game announces each one and marks it on the map. Enter during the 3-minute lobby and fight the waves with everyone else for up to 10 minutes – no party required.

How many Dimensional Invasion reward keys can I hold?

Dimensional Invasion Reward Key: up to 7 stored, +1 per day at 16:00 server time. One key per clear opens the reward-key package on top of the common one.

What rewards do Dimensional Invasions give?

Centuryroot Tokens plus materials and gear by set probabilities, in 2 level brackets from level 45; the reward-key package adds more. The full table with the client's chances is above, and Centuryroot Tokens are spent at the Festival Shop.

Can I do a Dimensional Invasion solo?
