How this tier list works
One metric, one formula, every item.
Damage is the average of the weapon's min–max body damage; rounds per second is 1 ÷ the shot delay. Headshots, ammo multipliers and reloads are excluded.
Each item's percentile within its group sets the band: S ≥ 90, A ≥ 70, B ≥ 45, C ≥ 20, D below. Ties share a percentile.
Reloads, spread, weight and price are not part of the ranking; compare items side by side for those. Methodology
28 Permafrost weapons are ranked by burst DPS (damage × rounds per second), with manual-fire weapons ranked by per-shot damage in their own group. SW-54 Volkodav tops the list at 2,000 DPS; 3 weapons reach S tier: SW-54 Volkodav, BR-14, ARG-5. Bands are percentile cuts of the same calculation, so a new patch moves items without anyone re-judging them. Pair the ranking with each weapon's ammo cost and availability before committing a build to it.

How is this tier list ranked?
Burst DPS = average damage per shot × rounds per second from the game's shot delay, ignoring reloads. Weapons without a cyclic fire rate are ranked by damage per shot.
What does S tier mean?
S tier is the top 10% of the ranking metric within its group; A is the top 30%, B the top 55%, C the top 80% and D the rest.
Why is a semi-automatic pistol not in the DPS group?
Its shot delay is near zero in the data, so its DPS depends on how fast you click. It is banded by per-shot damage instead.
