Factions and camps
Permafrost's survivors cluster around camps — House Camp, the Village, the Solar facility, the Technocrats' colony — and three larger powers: the Alliance of Tribes, Permafrost City and the Republic of Metropolis. Named characters belong to a camp first.
Hostile humans (Moon Cultists, scavengers) have no character entries in the game files, only weapon loot lists, so they appear on the loot pages rather than here.
Permafrost's Early Access build names 14 characters, 11 of them with a journal biography and 7 of them trading for Bucks (Anna, Logan Boyce, Skinwalker, The Mule, Eric Hirsch, General Trader, Trader). Skinwalker is involved in the most quests (16); roles range across Scout, Unknown, Medical Trader, Skinner, Trader, Weapon Trader. 7 of the characters cannot be killed; each character page lists bio, stock, quests and the recordings that reveal them.
