AION 2 Combat Power Explained: What Raises CP & Good CP by Class
What AION 2 Combat Power is, what moves with it across 13,000+ tracked level 45 characters, median CP per class, top 100 cutoffs per region, and how to raise CP efficiently.
Combat Power (CP) is the one number that sums up an AION 2 character. It sits on your official profile, it is what our leaderboards rank by, and it is the first thing people check when they look you up in the armory. What the game does not give you is the formula behind it.
So this guide does not guess one. Instead it uses what we can measure: more than 13,000 tracked level 45 characters, their Combat Power, item level, Daevanion boards, titles and gear. You will see what moves with CP, what a normal and a top CP looks like for each class and region, and the most efficient order to raise yours. Class figures are from our October 3, 2026 aggregation; leaderboard figures are as of October 8, 2026.
What is Combat Power in AION 2?
Combat Power is the game's own rating of how strong your character is. The official profile reports it alongside a character item level, and both numbers move when you upgrade. Our stats page explains every stat the character window shows, but Combat Power is calculated by the game itself and the client data does not include that formula.
What raises Combat Power: what our data shows
We took the 13,076 level 45 characters on our boards (profiles read in the 14 days to October 8, 2026, most of them on October 2 and 3), sorted them by Combat Power and split them into five equal groups. Every progress marker we can read climbs steadily from the bottom group to the top:
| Group | Combat Power | Median profile item level | Median Daevanion nodes opened | Median titles owned |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bottom 20% | 19,705–42,969 | 813 | 98 | 44 |
| 20–40% | 42,972–52,667 | 1,011 | 131 | 83 |
| 40–60% | 52,669–61,310 | 1,170 | 169 | 127 |
| 60–80% | 61,310–71,230 | 1,354 | 199 | 165 |
| Top 20% | 71,232 and up | 1,923 | 255 | 191 |
Measured as a rank correlation with Combat Power (1.0 means a perfect match), profile item level scores 0.97, Daevanion nodes opened 0.95, titles owned 0.95 and average gear enhancement 0.81 (for the 3,017 characters whose gear we have read). Treat those as markers that rise together, not as separate ingredients: a player who opens more Daevanion nodes is usually also wearing better gear, so the data cannot say how much each one adds on its own.
Profile item level is the strongest signal
The item level on your profile is a character total, on a much larger scale than the item level printed on a single piece of gear (which tops out at 102). It tracks Combat Power more closely than anything else we can read:
| Profile item level | Characters | Median Combat Power |
|---|---|---|
| Under 1,000 | 3,665 | 40,547 |
| 1,000–1,099 | 1,649 | 49,881 |
| 1,100–1,199 | 1,664 | 56,248 |
| 1,200–1,299 | 1,561 | 61,098 |
| 1,300–1,499 | 1,953 | 66,459 |
| 1,500–1,999 | 1,410 | 77,807 |
| 2,000 and up | 1,174 | 100,769 |
Fitting a line through each class's board gives about 45 Combat Power per point of profile item level, between 44.7 and 46.8 depending on class. That is a statistical slope from our data, not the game's formula, but it is a fair rule of thumb: anything that raises your item level raises your CP. The game itself confirms that equipping Arcana counts toward item level.
Gear enhancement, Arcana and Amplified Enhancement
For 3,017 of these characters, mostly the higher-ranked ones, we have also read the equipped gear. Splitting them by Combat Power shows where each upgrade appears:
| Combat Power | Characters | Average gear enhancement | Average Arcana equipped | Any Amplified Enhancement | Wearing Unique wings |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Under 60,000 | 109 | +1.7 | 0 | 0% | 28% |
| 60,000–69,999 | 186 | +3.6 | 0 | 0% | 88% |
| 70,000–79,999 | 971 | +4.8 | 0.6 | 0% | 94% |
| 80,000–89,999 | 549 | +6.5 | 3.3 | 0% | 95% |
| 90,000–109,999 | 944 | +7.8 | 4.8 | 11% | 98% |
| 110,000 and up | 258 | +9.0 | 5.0 | 74% | 99% |
Three things stand out. Average gear enhancement climbs in every band, from +1.7 to +9.0. Arcana is the clearest step: almost nobody under 70,000 CP has a card equipped, while characters above 90,000 average about five. Amplified Enhancement, the track that pushes maxed Unique gear past +15, only shows up above 90,000 and is on three in four characters above 110,000.
Daevanion, titles and wings
The median top-20% character has opened 255 Daevanion nodes against 98 in the bottom group, and owns 191 titles against 44. Titles and wings both carry owned effects, permanent stats you keep just for having them, so collecting wide is part of progress. Wing level is the one thing we cannot measure: the official profiles report every equipped pair we have read at +0. Our wing enhancement guide covers what wing levels add.
Combat Power by class (October 3, 2026)
These are the tracked level 45 characters of each class across all five regions, from the same aggregation that feeds each class's build page, such as the Gladiator build.
| Class | Characters | Median CP | Top 10% from | Average profile item level |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ranger | 1,559 | 58,429 | 70,509 | 1,181 |
| Spiritmaster | 1,560 | 58,354 | 71,054 | 1,168 |
| Chanter | 1,560 | 57,927 | 71,271 | 1,173 |
| Gladiator | 1,681 | 56,633 | 70,828 | 1,155 |
| Sorcerer | 1,559 | 56,347 | 70,631 | 1,154 |
| Assassin | 1,560 | 56,040 | 70,275 | 1,154 |
| Templar | 1,561 | 55,901 | 69,760 | 1,143 |
| Cleric | 1,560 | 55,881 | 69,974 | 1,149 |
The whole spread from Cleric to Ranger is about 2,500 CP, and the class with the highest median also has the highest average item level. Your class does not hold your Combat Power back; your gear does. Our class tier list covers which classes are strong for PvE and PvP.
Leaderboard cutoffs by region (October 8, 2026)
| Region | Ranked characters | Top 100 cutoff | Median of the top 1,000 | 1,000th place |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Europe | about 2,800 | about 106,000 | about 76,000 | about 64,000 |
| Asia | about 2,600 | about 107,000 | about 73,000 | about 64,000 |
| NA East | about 2,600 | about 104,000 | about 72,000 | about 61,000 |
| NA West | about 2,500 | about 98,000 | about 73,000 | about 61,000 |
| Latin America | about 2,500 | about 99,000 | about 68,000 | about 59,000 |
These boards cover characters MetaBot has indexed from the official public character search, ranked by the Combat Power their profile reports, and only profiles read in the last 14 days count. They are not the in-game rankings, and the numbers move every time profiles are re-read. Open your region on the leaderboards for the current cutoff.
How to raise Combat Power efficiently
- 1Replace your lowest item level slot
Item level is the strongest CP signal we have, and a big jump on your weakest slot beats polishing your best one. The gear progression guide shows where each item level band drops.
- 2Enhance everything to the safe levels
Epic and Unique gear always succeeds up to +10, so those levels are a pure Kinah and Enhance Stone purchase. The top band in our data averages +9.0 across its gear. Plan the risky steps with the enhancement calculator.
- 3Fill your Arcana slots
Arcana counts toward item level, and it is the biggest visible gap between characters under 70,000 CP and those above 90,000. See the Arcana guide.
- 4Keep opening Daevanion nodes
The top group has about 2.6 times the nodes of the bottom one. Plan the path in the Daevanion planner so every point lands on a node you want.
- 5Collect titles and wings
Every owned title and wing adds its owned effect permanently, whatever you have equipped. It is slow, steady progress that never needs replacing.
- 6Amplified Enhancement last
It only appears above 90,000 CP in our data, on gear already at +15. Start it once the steps above are done.

Guide FAQ
What is Combat Power in AION 2?
Combat Power is the game's rating of your character's strength, shown on your official profile next to your item level. It goes up as you upgrade gear and grow your character, and our leaderboards rank level 45 characters by it.
How is Combat Power calculated in AION 2?
The game calculates it itself, and the client data does not include the formula, so we do not publish one. What we can measure is that it rises almost in lockstep with profile item level: about 45 CP per item level point on our boards.
What is a good Combat Power in AION 2?
As of October 3, 2026 the median tracked level 45 character had between 55,881 (Cleric) and 58,429 (Ranger) CP, and the top 10% started near 70,000. On October 8, 2026 a regional top 100 took roughly 98,000 to 107,000 CP.
How do I increase my Combat Power fast?
Raise item level: replace your weakest slot, enhance Epic and Unique gear to the always-safe +10, and equip Arcana. Then keep opening Daevanion nodes and collecting titles and wings. Leave Amplified Enhancement for last.
Which class has the highest Combat Power?
Ranger had the highest median on October 3, 2026 at 58,429, just ahead of Spiritmaster at 58,354, but every class sits within about 2,500 CP of the others, so class choice barely changes it.
Does wing enhancement raise Combat Power?
We cannot measure it yet: the official profiles report every equipped wing we have read at +0. Wing levels do raise the owned effect, which adds Flight Power and, on most Epic and Rare wings, one extra stat.
