AION 2 Costumes & Skins: Sources, Combine Odds & Collection Bonus
How to get AION 2 costumes and skins: random shop vs currency shops, the Centurion and Decanus PvP skins that add stats, Skin Combine odds, Lucky Aura and the collection bonus worth up to +50% per slot.
AION 2 has 1,461 skins: armor pieces, weapon looks and accessories you apply over your gear. Most are pure cosmetics, but skins still matter for stats. Every skin you own feeds a collection track that adds permanent damage or defense, one family of PvP skins adds stats while worn, and three skin-collecting titles hand out Combat Speed and Cooldown Reduction. This guide covers where costumes come from, how Skin Combine works and how the collection bonus adds up.
All numbers come from the global game client, the same data behind our skins and costumes database, and are a snapshot as of October 2026.
Costume sets and weapon skin series
A costume set bundles matching armor pieces, usually seven (Helm, Pauldrons, Top, Gloves, Legs, Shoes and Cloak), and each piece is unlocked by its own skin item, so you can collect a set one piece at a time. Here is how the 119 sets split by grade and where their pieces come from:
| Grade | Costume sets | Where the pieces come from |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 7 | Random shop (all 7) |
| Rare | 18 | Random shop (all 18) |
| Epic | 57 | Random shop (52), chests (4), Festival Shop (Lightpath Trace) |
| Unique | 27 | Currency shops (6 sets); the other 21 have no listed source yet |
| Special | 10 | Daeva Pass shop (2 sets); the other 8 have no listed source yet |
Weapon skins work the same way: 81 series with 481 weapon skins. Most series give one look across eight weapon types, such as the Epic Heart of Royalty, while the Centurion and Decanus lines are split into one series per weapon. The Unique Crown Chess series is sold in the Season Shop for 120,000 Oath Coin per weapon, and the Special Cozy Forest Shugo series sits in the Daeva Pass shop for 14,000 Daeva Pass Shop Coin per weapon. Set and series pages show 3D models where the client has them, so you can preview a look before you spend anything.

How to get costumes in AION 2
The client lists a source for most skin items, and they cluster in a few places:
- Random shop: 884 skin items, all Common, Rare or Epic. This is where nearly every lower-grade set comes from.
- Currency shops: 88 skin items, including every Unique set with a known source (table below), PvP accessories and the Daeva Pass shop's Shugo looks such as Floofy Shugo Friend.
- [Hidden cubes](/aion-2/hidden-cubes): 14 skins, among them the Water Spirit Mask and Windmancer Mask helms and earring and necklace looks such as White Petal Sigh.
- Ranking rewards: the Talisra and Zikel's Apparition crowns and masks, six helm skins each.

| Decanus Armor | Abyss, arena and battlefield shops | 317,100 Abyss Points | PvP Damage Tolerance +1% per piece |

Skins that add stats: Centurion and Decanus
Only one family of skins in the current client adds stats while worn: the PvP looks Centurion and Decanus. Every other skin, Unique ones included, is cosmetic apart from its collection points. Each piece is limited to one per character:
| Piece | Stat while worn | Centurion price | Decanus price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Armor piece (7 slots) | PvP Damage Tolerance +1% | 147,100 Abyss Points + 40 Silver Medal of Merit | 45,300 Abyss Points |
| Earrings or Necklace | PvP Damage Boost +2% | 294,300 Abyss Points + 80 Silver Medal of Merit | 90,600 Abyss Points |
| Weapon (8 types) | PvP Damage Boost +3% | No source listed yet | No source listed yet |
Skin Combine odds
Skin Combine takes skins of one grade plus a Kina fee and gives back a random skin of that grade, or, with a fixed chance, a skin one grade higher. The odds per grade come straight from the client:
| Combine grade | Fee | Same grade | Upgrade | One specific skin |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 600 Kina | 75% (60 designs) | 25% to Rare (149 designs) | ≈1.25% same grade, ≈0.168% upgrade |
| Rare | 1,000 Kina | 80% (149 designs) | 20% to Epic (416 designs) | ≈0.537% same grade, ≈0.048% upgrade |
| Epic | 6,000 Kina | 85% (416 designs) | 15% to Unique (199 designs) | ≈0.204% same grade, ≈0.075% upgrade |
| Unique | 30,000 Kina | 100% (199 designs) | — | ≈0.503% |
Two things follow from this table. Combine is a decent way to turn spare skins into different ones, but a poor way to chase one specific design: even a Common combine has only about a 1.25% chance at any given Common skin. And a Unique combine never upgrades; it rerolls into one of 199 Unique designs, which makes it the one listed route to Unique looks beyond the six shop sets. Weapon results are designs that resolve to one of the eight weapon types.
Skin collection bonus: where skins pay off
Each of the 18 skin categories has its own collection track from 0 to 500 points. Every point adds +0.1% to that category's stat, so 100 points is +10% and the 500-point cap is +50%. Shoulder, eye and face accessories are cosmetic only and give no points.
| Category group | Categories | Per point | Skins in the game | At 500 points |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Weapons | Longsword, Greatsword, Dagger, Bow, Mace, Staff, Orb, Spellbook, Fist | +0.1% Attack with that weapon | 60 per weapon (Fist: 1) | +50% Attack |
| Armor | Helm, Pauldrons, Top, Gloves, Legs, Shoes, Cloak | +0.1% Defense for that slot | 113 to 141 per slot | +50% Defense |
| Accessories | Necklace, Earrings | +0.1% Attack and +0.1% Defense | 59 to 60 | +50% Attack and +50% Defense |
Two practical rules come out of this. Weapon tracks only boost the weapon they belong to, so only skins for your own weapon raise your damage: a Sorcerer gains from Spellbook skins, not Greatsword ones. Armor and accessory tracks help every class, which makes them the safe place to start. The client data we read gives the reward per point but not how many points each skin is worth, so check your in-game totals in the skin collection calculator to see what they add.
Skin-collecting titles
Three titles count skins rather than sets, so every cheap random-shop or combine skin pushes you toward them:
| Title | Requirement | Equipped | Owned |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fashionista | 100 skins | Combat Speed +1.9% | Critical Hit +5 |
| Fashion Forward | 300 skins | Evasion Bonus +42, PvE Evasion +42 | Natural HP Regen +10 |
| Empty Closet | Over 700 skins | Combat Speed +3.5%, Cooldown Reduction +3.5%, Natural HP Regen +42 | HP +120 |
A costume plan that pays off
- 1Take the free skins first
Pick up hidden cube skins while you explore and the Daeva Pass shop's Shugo looks while the pass runs.
- 2Fill collection points cheaply
Common and Rare random-shop skins still add collection points. Prioritise your own weapon type and the armor slots, since those tracks always help you.
- 3Combine your spares
Feed spare skins into Skin Combine for a 15 to 25% upgrade chance, and save Lucky Auras for Epic combines, where the jump to Unique is the rarest at 15%.
- 4Spend PvP currency on Decanus
PvP Damage Tolerance +1% per armor piece and PvP Damage Boost +2% per accessory, for 45,300 to 90,600 Abyss Points each.
- 5Pick a Unique look last
Eternal Horn and Awakened cost 49,650 Phantasmal Fragment each, Skilled Expert 24,900 Centuryroot Token and Shadow Slayer 270,000 Oath Coin.

Guide FAQ
How do you get costumes in AION 2?
Most Common, Rare and Epic costume pieces come from the random shop. Unique sets come from currency shops: Centurion Armor and Decanus Armor for Abyss Points, Eternal Horn and Awakened for Phantasmal Fragment in the Nightmare Shop, Skilled Expert in the Festival Shop and Shadow Slayer in the Season Shop. Hidden cubes, the Daeva Pass shop and ranking rewards add a few more.
Do skins give stats in AION 2?
Mostly no: a skin only changes the look. The exceptions are the Centurion and Decanus PvP skins, which add PvP Damage Tolerance +1% per armor piece and PvP Damage Boost +2% or +3% for accessories and weapons. Every skin also adds collection points worth +0.1% per point to its slot, up to +50%.
What are the Skin Combine odds in AION 2?
Common skins have a 25% chance to become Rare (600 Kina), Rare skins 20% to become Epic (1,000 Kina) and Epic skins 15% to become Unique (6,000 Kina). Unique combines cost 30,000 Kina and always stay Unique. Lucky Aura items add 10% (5% for Unique) to the upgrade chance.
Is Decanus or Centurion better for PvP?
They give the same stat per piece: PvP Damage Tolerance +1% for armor and PvP Damage Boost +2% for earrings and necklaces. Decanus costs 45,300 Abyss Points per armor piece against Centurion's 147,100 plus 40 Silver Medal of Merit, so Decanus is the better value.
How many skins are in AION 2?
The global client lists 1,461 skins for 13 slots: 481 weapon skins, 113 to 141 per armor slot, about 60 each for necklaces and earrings, and three each of shoulder, eye and face accessories. They form 119 costume sets and 81 weapon skin series.
How do you get the Empty Closet title?
Own more than 700 skins. Empty Closet gives Combat Speed +3.5%, Cooldown Reduction +3.5% and Natural HP Regen +42 when equipped, and HP +120 just for owning it. Fashionista (100 skins) and Fashion Forward (300 skins) come on the way.
