AION 2 Titles Guide: Best Titles and Fastest Unlocks
AION 2 titles explained: the 3 title slots, equip vs collection bonuses, what top players equip, the best PvE, PvP and tank titles, and the fastest unlocks.
AION 2 has 528 titles, and every one of them does two jobs. Equip it and you get its full stat bonus; simply own it and a smaller collection bonus applies to your character for good. That makes titles part collection and part build choice, and the right picks are easier to find than the size of the list suggests.
This guide uses the game's own title tables, the same data behind our title list, plus the equipped titles of about 12,600 tracked top characters, aggregated in early October 2026.
How AION 2 titles work: equip bonus vs collection bonus
Every title belongs to one of three slots. Our title pages call them Offensive, Defensive and Utility, and character profiles show them as the Attack, Defense and Other title. You fill each slot with one title from its group, so you never have to choose between a damage title and a defensive one. Of the 13,277 tracked characters whose titles we have read, 12,032 have all three slots filled.
- Equip bonus: the full stats, active only while the title sits in its slot. Unique titles carry up to three stats, for example Defense Bonus +300, Damage Tolerance +3% and Block +100 on Saint of Verteron.
- Collection bonus: a small permanent stat for owning the title, such as PvE Attack +4 or Move Speed +1%. It applies whether you equip the title or not.
Collection bonuses add up. Counting every title one faction can earn (377 per faction in our data), the owned bonuses total HP +1,260, Defense Bonus +180, Accuracy Bonus +110, PvE Damage Tolerance +4%, PvE Damage Boost +3.5% and Move Speed +2.5%, among others. That is why even weak-looking Common titles are worth picking up when they are on your way.
What top AION 2 players equip
Across all eight classes, the same handful of titles dominates. Faction twins (an Elyos and an Asmodian version with identical stats) are combined below, and each share is of all tracked characters, as of early October 2026:
| Slot | Title | Share | Equip bonus | How to get |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Defense | Saint of Verteron / Saint of Altgard | 59% | Defense Bonus +300, Damage Tolerance +3%, Block +100 | Monolith level 30 |
| Attack | Guardian of Verteron / Guardian of Altgard | 45% | PvE Damage Boost +3%, Penetration +210 | Monolith level 20 |
| Other | Through Hell and Back | 24% | Cooldown Reduction +3%, HP +900, Stamina +225 | Clear the Sealed Dungeon Ruins of the Ancient City of Roah |
| Other | Encountering Kaisinel's Core / Encountering Zikel's Core | 24% | HP Potion Recovery +400, Move Speed +3%, HP +900 | Complete Episode 6 |
| Attack | Failed Entrepreneur / Lifeguard | 14% | PvE Attack +25, Attack Bonus +20 | Quests First-mover Advantage / Another Survivor |
| Other | Grasper of the Core | 11% | HP +750, HP Potion Recovery +300 | Quests The Core of Illusion God / Zikel's Core |
Two things stand out. First, Monoliths are the single biggest source of top titles: raising your region's Monolith by finding Empyrean Traces pays Verteron Inquirer or Altgard Inquirer at level 10, Guardian at level 20 and Saint at level 30. The picks barely change from class to class: Saint of Altgard alone leads the Defense slot for all eight, at 30.5% to 34.7% of each class.
Best titles by role: PvE, PvP and tank
Title stats are fixed, so "best" comes down to which stats you need. These are the strongest equip bonuses in each slot in the client's title table:
| Role | Attack slot | Defense slot | Other slot |
|---|---|---|---|
| PvE damage | Unbound by Genus: PvE Damage Boost +4.5%, Attack Bonus +34, Critical Hit +68 | Dominator of Dimensions: PvE Damage Tolerance +4.5%, HP +1,000, Defense Bonus +340 | Empty Closet: Combat Speed +3.5%, Cooldown Reduction +3.5% |
| PvP | Treading on Black Wings / Treading on White Wings: PvP Damage Boost +4%, PvP Attack +40, PvP Accuracy +80 | Click: Damage Tolerance +3.5%, HP +1,000, Critical Damage Defense +510 | Executioner of High Commander Lagta: Combat Speed +2.5%, Move Speed +2.5% |
| Tank | Guardian of Verteron / Guardian of Altgard: PvE Damage Boost +3%, Penetration +210 | Rule All Creation: Boss Damage Tolerance +4%, Back Attack Damage Tolerance +3%, Defense Bonus +320 | Through Hell and Back: HP +900, Cooldown Reduction +3%, Stamina +225 |
Each has its own condition: Unbound by Genus needs every Genus Insight at level 10, Dominator of Dimensions 25 wings, Empty Closet 700 skins, Treading on Black Wings 300 player kills, Click 10 Shugo Festival artworks and Rule All Creation 200 pets. Close behind in the Attack slot, Golden Glow and Genuine Masterpiece give Critical Damage Boost +3%, Scenery Collector gives PvE Damage Boost +3.3%, and Teleportation Specialist (all 61 Kibelisks in Verteron or Altgard) gives PvE Damage Boost +3.1%. For PvP, Saint of Ereshkigal (Ereshkigal's Monolith level 20) matches the PvP Damage Boost +4% of Treading on Black Wings.
Fastest and easiest AION 2 titles to unlock
These titles cost little more than playing normally, and every one of them adds to your collection bonus:
- 1Follow the Episode story
Each Hero Episode pays a title: Common titles for Episodes 1 to 3, a Rare for Episode 4, an Epic for Episode 5 (Two-Faced or I Only Wanted You: Critical Damage Defense +315, Evasion Bonus +32) and a Unique for Episode 6 (Encountering Kaisinel's Core or Encountering Zikel's Core).
- 2Join a Legion
The achievement The More the Merrier only asks you to join a Legion. It pays 3,000 Kinah and the title There's No "I" in Team: HP +270 equipped, PvE Attack +2 owned.
- 3Clear each party dungeon once
Six party dungeons (Krao Cave, Fire Temple, Draupnir, Urugugu Canyon, Vakron Sky Island and Ferocious Horn Den) each have a Sightseer title for your first Exploration clear and a Tour Guide title for your first Conquest clear on Normal. Ferocious Horn Den Sightseer, for one, gives PvE Damage Tolerance +2.6%. Some dungeons hide a joke title too: lie down in the Fire Temple Conquest boss room for Kromede Will Remember That (Critical Damage Boost +1.2%).
- 4Use Verteron's Spacetime Rift
Three uses earn Hello There (PvE Damage Tolerance +1.9%), and 50 uses earn Nice to Meet You (PvE Damage Boost +2.9%). The achievement is open to both factions.
- 5Play the Shugo Festival
Taking part in each Shugo Festival mini-game 3 times pays one Rare title per game, nine in all, such as Odyle Drops Keep Fallin' on My Head (Move Speed +1.8%).
- 6Level your Monolith
Finding Empyrean Traces raises your region's Monolith. Levels 10, 20 and 30 of the Verteron or Altgard Monolith pay the Inquirer, Guardian and Saint titles, the last two being the titles most top players still wear.

Season ranking titles
Season 1 runs until December 16, 2026, and its rankings pay out titles when it ends. Nightmare and Transcendence grade players by rank position:
| Grade | Rank | Title grade |
|---|---|---|
| Challenger 1 | #1 | Heroic |
| Challenger 2 | #2–3 | Heroic |
| Challenger 3 | #4–10 | Heroic |
| Grand Master | #11–30 | Unique |
| Master | #31–50 | Unique |
| Diamond | #51–100 | Epic |
| Platinum | #101–300 | Epic |
| Gold | #301–600 | Rare |
| Silver | #601–1,000 | Rare |
| Bronze | #1,001–10,000 | Common |
The Abyss ranking uses military ranks instead, from Abyss [Season 1] Supreme Commander down to Abyss [Season 1] Ninth-Class Soldier. None of the ranking titles carries stats in the client, so they are about prestige rather than power. Our Season 1 rankings page lists every grade and its rewards.

Guide FAQ
How many titles can you equip in AION 2?
Three: one each in the Attack, Defense and Other slots. Every title belongs to one slot, and the titles you own but do not equip still add their collection bonus.
Do titles give stats when not equipped?
Yes. Every title with stats has a collection bonus that applies once you own it, such as PvE Attack +4 on Guardian of Verteron or Move Speed +1% on Rule All Creation. 80 titles, including the season ranking titles, give no stats at all.
What is the best title in AION 2?
It depends on the slot. Most top players wear Saint of Verteron or Saint of Altgard for Defense, Guardian of Verteron or Guardian of Altgard for Attack, and Through Hell and Back for Other. The strongest PvE Attack title is Unbound by Genus, with PvE Damage Boost +4.5%.
How do you get the Saint of Verteron title?
Raise the Verteron Monolith to level 30 by finding all of its Empyrean Traces. The Asmodian twin, Saint of Altgard, comes from level 30 of the Altgard Monolith, and level 20 of the same Monolith gives Guardian of Verteron or Guardian of Altgard.
What are the easiest titles to get in AION 2?
Episode quest titles, There's No "I" in Team for joining a Legion, Hello There for using Verteron's Spacetime Rift 3 times, the Sightseer titles for a first Exploration clear of six party dungeons, and the Shugo Festival titles for playing each mini-game 3 times.
