Concerning Drana Cultivation in Atreia Author: Principal Researcher Lisansa Drana is an excellent resource with no end of uses, from food, to power, to weaponry. After much trial and error, Drana cultivation has now been successfully established all across Atreia. For the sake of sharing results of research into Drana cultivation, I will describe it according to the different life stages of Drana. Sowing Stage Drana seeds in crystal-like form are planted in the ground or implanted in living organisms, and grow by absorbing life force, using the soil or living organisms as fertilizer to grow rapidly. Germinated sprouts require constant nourishment to keep them from withering. Growing Stage Drana can take on many different forms depending on the host or environment, but typically grows as a tree. The shape varies, but beneath the bark, the fertilizing organism turns into a soft solid, and the Drana grows like a fruit. At this stage, the Drana roots may be cut off and planted to grow more Drana trees. We have the great Ishtar to thank for this knowledge, which has led to further innovative ways to increase Drana production. Fruiting Stage Once the Drana seeds develop inside, the growth is complete. The size of the fruit varies depending on the environment and cultivation methods, and it is said that Tiamat's army once knew how to grow Drana larger than any others. Regardless, current technological advancements have focused on improving the seeds themselves to increase their raw material content. When the Drana fruit is ripe, the skin cracks open to allow the Drana inside to be easily harvested. The skin is removed and only the Drana seeds are left behind following harvesting so that they may grow another Drana fruit.
