Kaisinel's understanding of Odyle was unmatched. If using Odyle could be considered a one-dimensional skill, Kaisinel was already operating on an entirely different dimensional plane. He could shape and summon Odyle in any form he desired— a power so rare and captivating, it evoked the envy of all who dreamed of the divine right to create something from nothing. Had Kaisinel been governed by even the slightest desire for domination—like Zikel, the Asmodae Butcher—he could reign outright as the Empyrean Lord of Terror. Instead, driven by an insatiable intellectual hunger, Kaisinel dedicated his time to devising countless Spirit spells, only to forget them just as easily. Spiritmasters who studied his tomes, written in the divine language, often had their sanity broken under the weight of knowledge far beyond any Daeva's ability to comprehend. Still, some Daeva were able to achieve a deep understanding of Odyle's flow. This is where the Scarlotus Tragedy begins. Typhlos was once seen as a leading candidate to become High Priest of Illusion. Born blind, he perceived Odyle through instinct alone. His ability to handle Spirits was extraordinary. He brooked no hint of intimidation when speaking alone to Kaisinel, who greatly approved of his calm and sharp mind. One day, a debate broke out during a gathering of Kaisinel's envoys. The discussion pertained to whether they should keep or do away with Kaisinel's spell related to the "Resurrection of Spirits," which they interpreted as Scarlotus. Spirits, being metaphysical, do not belong to the material world. Like Odyle, they are formless, closer to the essence of nature formed through elemental fusion. The envoys' translation of Scarlotus described a resurrection ritual for souls based on the idea that "Spirits do not experience death and instead circulate endlessly—just like the Daeva." The spell can be summarized as follows: A being is divided into three parts—mind, body, and soul. Then, when a soul nears extinction, it is replaced with a Spirit. A lifeform infused with the soul of a Spirit possesses no self-awareness but, having gained a powerful soul, may serve as a summoned creature of elemental nature. Most envoys agreed the spell could be easily abused. It was ultimately decided that it would never be disclosed to the public but instead classified as a sealed tome of the Illusion tier. However, the Illusion Legion, eager to create an undying army to wield against the Asmodians, made contact with Typhlos, who subsequently volunteered to test the spell himself. The result is as history remembers. To this day, an Elysea village remains closed to all civilian Daeva. Some Empyrean Lords held Kaisinel accountable for the incident, but he dismissed the accusation, stating that those who could not see the essence of nature even with open eyes were truly blind, and that it was not his responsibility to awaken the dull-witted. Though Kaisinel is said to have destroyed Scarlotus himself, there are rumors that many copies managed to survive in the chaos of war and continue to spread even now.
