Is the Stasis Transmutation good? Our verdict
CalculatedHow the Stasis Transmutation plays, where it wins and where it loses, read from its stats, traits and moveset.
- Playstyle
- Stasis is the boss-killer Transmutation, from the Caverns. Holding Aim within 8 m fills an enemy's Stasis Segments; each filled segment deals damage and expels a Nephtoglobin Remnant, and once every segment is full the enemy is frozen for 10 s and your attacks deal massive damage: the game's break table pays 400 for 4 segments, 550 for 5 and 900 for 7. It also stops moving gears for puzzles. The tree is built around the break: Termination (level 2) lets Heavy Attacks shatter Stasis at any fill, Eruption or Implosion (+50 segment damage) at level 3, Hex (no decay) or Control (grapple to frozen enemies) at level 4, and Expansion or Drain at level 5.
- Strengths
- Break damage up to 900 on a 7-segment boss
- No Stasis resistance on six bosses (the Sphinx, Anna, the High Justicar, the Orphan, Captain Raphael and Entity)
- Frozen enemies stay frozen for 10 s
- Filled segments refund Nephtoglobin Remnants
- Stops gears and machinery
- Weaknesses
- Short 8 m range
- General Lothaire resists 50% over 7 segments, and one elite Remnant is immune
- Slaughtermill has no segments at all
- Spends Nephtoglobin
- Ambers that fit
- Lunatic's Grasp (+30 to 50% Stasis and Ignite build-up) speeds up every freeze. Bottomless Well and Potent Concoction refill Nephtoglobin, and Payback adds a Stasis explosion when you are hit at low Health.

Trait: Complex
- Can stop enemies in their tracks.
- Focused on controlling the flow of battle.
A Stasis Transmutation that can stop enemies and moving gears. Attacking enemies frozen in Stasis deals massive damage.
Transmutations list their own damage value per level; Stasis and Shield store it as a small scaling factor (1 → 1.5 or 1.75), not as hit damage.
