Fire and Stasis both spend Nephtoglobin, but they do different jobs. Fire is damage over time and crowd control: its flame deals 15 to 20 damage, Ignite ticks every 0.2 s on enemies and burning enemies slow to 0.8x, and its tree adds range (Fireworks, 1.4x) or spread (Wildfire, 1.6x). It shines on packs and on fire-weak targets: Carrion take double damage, General Lothaire 40% extra and Experiment 83 20%.
Stasis is a single-target payoff. From 8 m it fills an enemy's Stasis Segments, each filled segment deals damage and expels a Nephtoglobin Remnant, and a full freeze holds an enemy for 10 s and breaks for 400 (4 segments) up to 900 (7 segments). Its tree is about that break: Termination lets Heavy Attacks shatter Stasis at any fill, and Implosion adds 50 damage per segment.
Take Fire first (you get it on The Battlefield) and keep it for crowds; add Stasis from the Caverns for bosses with no Stasis resistance (the Sphinx, Anna, the High Justicar, the Orphan, Captain Raphael and Entity).
