AION 2 Endgame Guide: Daily and Weekly Checklist
AION 2 endgame guide from the global client: Transcendence, Conquest, raids, Nightmare and the Abyss, with entry caps and a daily and weekly checklist.
The AION 2 endgame is a loop of capped instances, not one big raid you grind forever. Once your Ascension chain is done, every week becomes a budget: a set number of Expedition and Transcendence reward counts, raid attempts, Nightmare boss attempts, Ascension Trial entries and hours in the Abyss. Spend them well and your gear, Arcana and Abyss Points climb in step. Waste them and you fall behind the people who planned.
This guide maps that loop from the global client's own tables: dungeon types, party sizes, the item level gates on every Transcendence stage, the Nightmare boss ladder and the content-ticket table that sets each cap and its reset. Every dungeon, boss and map below links to its page in our dungeon database, and the checklist near the end is built straight from those caps.
What to do at max level in AION 2
Finish the Ascension quest chain first. It runs from The One Who Perceives through to The One Who Swears the Oath, recommended at level 49, and each step grants an Ascension item that raises your Daeva's ability. After that, the client sorts endgame content into a handful of named modes, each with its own counter. The table below uses the in-game mode names from the client's ticket strings, which do not always match what community sites call them.
| Mode | Where | Party | Cap and reset |
|---|---|---|---|
| Expedition: Exploration | Easy mode of the 11 Expedition dungeons, e.g. Krao Cave | 1-5 (some need 2) | 7 reward counts per dungeon, weekly |
| Expedition: Conquest | Normal mode, e.g. Draupnir | 1-5 (some need 2) | 2 reward counts a day, banks 14 (7 a week at Dying Dramata's Nest and Cradle of Nihility); 35 final-boss kills a week |
| Transcendence | Deus Research Base and four more staged dungeons | 2-5 | 2 reward counts a day, banks 4; 28 final-boss kills a week |
| Sanctuary (raids) | Abyssal Forge: Ludra, Chalice of Muspel, Corroded Decontamination Facility | 10 | 4 attempts a week each; 1 or 2 final-boss kills |
| Ascension Trial | Nightmare Altar and five sister dungeons | No party size set | 3 entries a week |
| Nightmare | Boss ladder, see bosses | No party size set | 2 attempts a day, banks 14 |
| Abyss | Three Reshanta layers | Open world | 7 hours per layer, weekly |
| Subjugation | Orcus's Grave and three more | 1-4 | 3 tickets a week |
The AION 2 endgame loop, step by step
Here is the order most characters will move through the endgame. It is driven by two numbers the client checks: the item level printed on the gear each dungeon drops, and the item level gates on Transcendence stages.
- Step 1Finish Ascension
Clear the five Ascension quests (recommended levels 5, 22, 32, 45 and 49). The One Who Witnesses the Nightmare is the four-step quest recommended at 45, so plan for it before you chase endgame gear.
- Step 2Expedition gear, item level 54 to 86
Exploration and Conquest runs at Krao Cave and Draupnir drop Unique gear at item level 54, Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island at 70, and Fire Temple and Ferocious Horn Den at 86.
- Step 3Transcendence and Arcana
Once your total item level reaches 1,600, stage 1 of Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis opens. Both loot tables carry Arcana cards from Common to Unique.
- Step 4Sanctuary raids
Abyssal Forge: Ludra is the only raid with a loot table in the client, and it reaches item level 102, including Ludra's Blade of Extinction.
- Step 5Abyss and Potential
Abyss Points from Duty quests and the Reshanta layers pay for Potential, the always-successful PvP upgrade on Abyss Unique gear.
- OngoingNightmare ladder and Ascension Trial
Push Nightmare tiers as your power rises, and spend your 3 weekly Ascension Trial entries for Enhance Stones and Unique Amplify Stone Fragments.
Expedition dungeons: Exploration and Conquest
Eleven of the 16 party dungeons are Expedition dungeons. Each has an Easy mode that the client calls Exploration and a Normal mode called Conquest. Rewards come from the Odyle Energy Cube at the end, and each cube you open costs a reward count. The gear tiers come in pairs, and the client's Conquest tickets pair the dungeons the same way.
| Dungeons | Unique gear item level | Example boss |
|---|---|---|
| Krao Cave, Draupnir | 54 | Transcendent Bakarma |
| Urugugu Canyon, Vakron Sky Island | 70 | Vakron |
| Fire Temple, Ferocious Horn Den | 86 (Fire Temple also keeps an item level 43 Kromede set) | Ferocious Horn Nuakum |
| Dying Dramata's Nest, Cradle of Nihility, Hall of Illusion, Azure Breath Island, Citadel of the Fallen Daeva | No loot table in the client | Decaying Durvati, Basilus the False |
Conquest is where the crafting money is too. Fire Temple and Ferocious Horn Den are the only party dungeons whose loot includes Wrathful Ego, a Unique crafting material used in 76 recipes; our Kinah farming guide covers why that matters. The caps: each Exploration mode gives 7 reward counts a week, and the six classic Conquest dungeons recharge 2 counts a day up to a bank of 14. On top of that, the client tracks 35 Conquest final-boss kills a week across all of them.
Transcendence dungeons: stages and item level gates
Transcendence dungeons replace the Easy/Normal split with numbered stages, and each stage checks your total equipped item level before it lets you in. Five staged dungeons sit in the client's Transcendence level table. Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis have full loot tables and their own reward counters. Submerged Life Temple, Mirror of Scarlet Desire and Abyssal Horn Den are in the client with bosses and stage gates but no loot table, so do not assume all five are open on day one.
| Dungeon | Stage 1 | Stage 2 | Stage 3 | Stage 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Deus Research Base | 1,600 | 1,900 | 2,200 | 2,500 |
| Shattered Arkanis | 1,600 | 1,900 | 2,200 | 2,500 |
| Submerged Life Temple | 2,400 | 2,800 | 3,200 | 3,500 |
| Mirror of Scarlet Desire | 3,200 | 3,500 | 3,800 | 4,000 |
| Abyssal Horn Den | 3,800 | 4,100 | 4,500 | 4,800 |
Boss levels rise with each stage: Atiel appears at levels 56, 60, 64 and 68 across the four Deus stages. Deus Research Base runs Atiel, Gelcos and Nazmun, and Shattered Arkanis runs Talisra of the Void, Siliator of Deceit and Ruthilis of Pain. Further up, Submerged Emon, Kromede's Desolation and Gargaum anchor the higher dungeons. Deus and Arkanis each list 24 Arcana cards in their loot (six each at Common, Rare, Epic and Unique), which is why our Arcana guide points you here for high-grade cards.
The reward counts at Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis recharge 2 a day but only bank 4. That is the one counter in the endgame that punishes skipping days, so if you only log in every other day, make Transcendence the first thing you do. The weekly cap on Transcendence final-boss kills is 28. Transcendence also has seasonal rankings: the client's reward items name ranks such as Platinum, Diamond, Master, Grand Master and Challenger, with Pantheon statues as rank rewards.
AION 2 raids: the three Sanctuary instances
The client files AION 2 raids under "Sanctuary". All three are fixed at 10 players. Each has an attempt counter (4 a week) and a separate final-boss kill counter that resets on Wednesday. All three also carry a revive limit of 2, and its tooltip says the limit is only spent and reset in the mini-boss and final-boss areas.
- Abyssal Forge: Ludra: bosses Eternal Ludra, Abyssal Wings Ketu, Isolation Specialist Rahu and the Central Abyss Fusion Reactor. 1 final-boss kill a week. Its 256-item loot table spans Unique gear at item levels 54, 70, 86 and 102.
- Chalice of Muspel: Normal and Advanced modes, bosses include Kaldrix and Iscariel. 2 final-boss kills a week.
- Corroded Decontamination Facility: five bosses including Terminator Bargott and Black Blood Blatt. 2 final-boss kills a week.
Chalice of Muspel and Corroded Decontamination Facility have no loot table or lore text in the client, so their boss pages are the better reference for now. If your static only has time for one raid a week, Ludra is the one with a known payout.
Ascension Trial: the Nightmare Altar dungeons
The Ascension Trial is a score-based mode across six dungeons: Nightmare Altar, Tyrant's Hideout, Sanctum of Loathing, Depository of Fates, Forgotten Repository and Chamber of the Dead. Two of them also have a one-boss Doom version. Each dungeon has six difficulties, Easy, Normal, Hard, Challenge, Insane and Hell, and the death limit tightens from 5 on Easy to 3 on Normal and 2 from Hard upward.
You get 3 entries a week, spent when you enter rather than when you clear. The loot is the same short list everywhere: Enhance Stones, Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique), a Growth Pet Chest and an Ascension Binding Chest. Season achievements in the client ask for final scores from 200 up to 12,000, so pick the difficulty you can finish inside the death limit and push score rather than gambling an entry on a tier you cannot clear.
Nightmare boss challenge: tiers, power and rewards
Nightmare is a ladder of 26 bosses, each with 10 tiers and a recommended power that climbs with every tier. Rewards are Phantasmal Fragments, spent in the Nightmare Shop: a first clear pays 500 at Gatekeeper Pinopi tier 1 and up to 3,950 at Ascended Atheron tier 10, and repeat clears pay 100 to 1,010. You get 2 attempts a day, banked up to 14, and the tooltip says an attempt is only deducted when you clear. A failed pull is free practice.
| Layer | Opening bosses | Second step | Layer capstone |
|---|---|---|---|
| I | Gatekeeper Pinopi, Furious Feruk, Fafnir's Poison Blood, Wraith Giselle (1,000-1,600) | Fortress Guardian Notun, Mutated Gerod (1,700-2,300) | Zikel's Apparition (2,400-3,000) |
| II | Mutated Ulgorn, Soulreaper Rathman, Sharp Aulak, Sealed Sura (2,500-2,950) | Enraged Reda, Warden Santras (3,000-3,450) | Kaisinel's Illusion (3,500-3,950) |
| III | Sanctum Guardian Gauss, Ritualist Aulisa, Root Mythical Bird Aultross, Oathbreaker Gartua (3,000-3,450) | Incarnated Warding Feather, Modified Bargott (3,500-3,950) | Tyrant Tassin (4,000-4,200) |
| IV | Lieutenant Hebran, Kromede's Desire (3,500-3,950) | Culminant Paton, Scout Captain Ked (4,000-4,450) | Ascended Atheron (4,500-4,950) |
The unlock chain is strict. A second-step boss opens only after its paired opening bosses are cleared at tier 10, the capstone needs both second-step bosses at tier 10, and clearing the capstone at tier 1 opens the next layer's opening bosses. In practice that means you farm the four opening bosses to tier 10 before anything else moves.
Abyss PvPvE: Reshanta, Abyss Points and Potential
The Abyss is three shared maps where Elyos and Asmodians meet: Chaotic Lower Reshanta, Chaotic Middle Reshanta and Chaotic Upper Reshanta. Time inside each is rationed. The in-game tooltip reads "Basic usage time will be reset to 7 hours after the weekly reset", and the client resets it on Wednesday.
- Lower Reshanta has 23 zones, from Reshanta's Root to the Latesran camps. Latesran Western Root states "Reach Item Level 1,000 to enter" in its description.
- Middle Reshanta has 12 zones around Corroded Heart, and Upper Reshanta has 8, including the camps at Krotan Fortress and Dukysas Fortress.
- Abyss Artifacts sit on several islands. Occupying one issues usage time for an artifact dungeon, according to the ticket strings.
- Abyss Corridor entrances are marked in Lower and Middle Reshanta, and Spacetime Rifts in the home maps also feed Abyss Points until you hit the rift cap.
Abyss Points are the currency that matters here. Steady sources in the data: each Duty Mission (the Wanted bounties such as Wanted: Worshiper Dekish) pays 1,000 Abyss Points with its Kinah, Duty Commands pay 1,000 or 2,000, and 60 of the sealed dungeons include 1,000 in their clear rewards. The big sink is Potential: four steps on Abyss Unique gear, each always successful, each costing 100,000 Abyss Points plus 1 to 4 Potential Stone: Abyss (Unique). That is 400,000 points and 10 stones per item to reach the full PvP bonus. Our gear enhancement guide covers how Potential stacks with normal enhancement.
Arena and Subjugation
The client has five matched PvP maps. Fire Temple Arena and Impetusium Arena host single combat (3 lives) and team combat, and three battlefields run their own modes: Odyle Shard Cradle, Stormslumber Snowfield (capture the flag) and Sandstorm Temple (domination). Matches are set to 10 minutes, and Arena Tokens, described as "a mark of honor won in the Arena", buy items in the Arena Exchange Shop.
Subjugation is the PvE cousin: four 4-player instances, Subjugation Closed, Beritra Brigade Fortress, Orcus's Grave and Fafnite Forge. The first two have Easy, Normal and Hard; the last two add Extreme, Despair and Hell. Death limits run from 9 on Easy down to 4 on Despair and Hell, and you get 3 Subjugation tickets a week.
AION 2 daily and weekly checklist
This checklist follows the client's ticket table. "Banks 14" means the daily charges stack to a full week, so you can batch them. "Banks 4" means you lose charges after two days away.
Daily
- Transcendence: spend your Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis reward counts (2 a day, banks 4).
- Conquest: run your best Conquest dungeon, ideally Fire Temple or Ferocious Horn Den once you can (2 a day, banks 14).
- Nightmare: use both attempts on the next tier you have not cleared. Failures cost nothing.
- Odyle Energy: open cubes before it caps. It holds 560 (840 with the subscription) and refills 15 every 3 hours.
- Duty quests: clear Missions for 50,000 bound Kinah and 1,000 Abyss Points each, plus Commands for Abyss Points.
Weekly (resets Wednesday)
- Sanctuary raids: 4 attempts each; 1 final-boss kill at Ludra, 2 at Chalice of Muspel and Corroded Decontamination Facility.
- Ascension Trial: 3 entries across the Nightmare Altar dungeons. Push score, not difficulty.
- Subjugation: 3 tickets.
- Exploration: 7 reward counts per Expedition dungeon, useful on alts and for materials.
- Abyss: up to 7 hours in each Reshanta layer.
- Check the caps: 35 Conquest and 28 Transcendence final-boss kills, and never leave a cube unopened.
- Alts: 7 hours each in the growth dungeons Silent Graveyard and Fafnite Amphitheater (recommended level 45).

Guide FAQ
What do you do at max level in AION 2?
Finish the Ascension quest chain, then spend your weekly counters: Expedition Conquest runs for gear, Transcendence for Arcana and higher stages, the Sanctuary raids, the Nightmare boss ladder, Ascension Trial entries and your Abyss hours. Gear item level is the gate that moves you from one tier to the next.
When is the weekly reset in AION 2?
The client ticket table resets weekly counters such as raid attempts, Ascension Trial entries, Exploration counts and Abyss time on Wednesday. Daily counters such as Conquest, Transcendence and Nightmare recharge once a day. The exact hour depends on your server region, so check the in-game timer.
How many raids are in AION 2?
The global client has three raids, filed under Sanctuary: Abyssal Forge Ludra, Chalice of Muspel and Corroded Decontamination Facility. All are 10-player instances with 4 attempts a week. Ludra allows 1 final-boss kill a week and the other two allow 2.
What item level do you need for Transcendence?
Stage 1 of Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis needs a total item level of 1,600, rising to 2,500 for stage 4. Submerged Life Temple starts at 2,400, Mirror of Scarlet Desire at 3,200 and Abyssal Horn Den at 3,800, topping out at 4,800.
How do you get Abyss Points in AION 2?
Duty Missions pay 1,000 Abyss Points each and Duty Commands pay 1,000 or 2,000. Sixty sealed dungeons include 1,000 in their clear rewards, and the Abyss maps and Spacetime Rifts add more. Time in each Reshanta layer is capped at 7 hours a week.
Are Nightmare dungeons and Nightmare the same thing?
No. The Nightmare Altar group of six dungeons is called the Ascension Trial in the client, with 3 entries a week. Nightmare is the separate boss challenge ladder of 26 bosses with 10 tiers each, paying Phantasmal Fragments.
