SPAM Deck Building Guide: How to Build a 4-Card Deck

How to build a strong SPAM deck: pick an element engine, add damage that uses it, cover durability and Spamton income, then choose talents and a Tox plan.

With only four cards and no hand, every slot in a SPAM deck matters. There are more than ten million possible four-card decks from the 127 released cards, but strong ones follow the same logic: one part of the deck builds element points, another part turns those points into damage, and the rest keeps the deck alive long enough for the bonuses to stack.

Step by step

  1. 1
    Pick an engine

Find a card that adds element points on a short cooldown: the six Spirits (+1 every turn), Commando Gerz (+3 Earth and +3 Light every 2 turns), Mistress of Tints (+3 in every element every 3 turns) or the Kings (a choice of +1 to +20 every 5 turns).

  2. 2
Add damage in the same elements

Points only boost their own element. Pair an Earth engine with Earth damage, a Shadow engine with Shadow damage. Cards that hit every enemy, like Canine Specter or Moxilys, the Humming One, multiply every point by the number of targets.

  3. 3
    Cover durability

At least one high-HP card (900–1,500 HP) gives the engine time to scale. Check resistances: a deck full of cards weak to the same element is an easy target.

  4. 4
    Check Spamton income

Income is the turn number plus your cards' Spamton values every turn. A deck around 30+ per turn buys Rare and Epic Tox on time; a deck around 15 has to skip more.

  5. 5
Choose talents and a Tox plan

Each card brings one talent; pick the one that helps the plan. For Tox, Berserk (+12% to +100% damage and heals for all your cards) or the Heart of your main element are the safe default buys.

Mono-element or two elements?

Mono-elementAll four cards share one element
  • Every point helps every attack
  • Hearts of that element are always the right buy
  • One weakness shared by the whole deck
Two elementsAn engine that boosts both
  • Cards like Commando Gerz or Canine Specter cover both at once
  • Harder to resist with one element
  • Points are split, so each grows slower

VerdictMono-element is easiest to pilot; two elements is stronger when one card already generates or attacks in both.

Test before you commit

The deck builder shows a deck's total HP, Spamton income, element points, damage per turn by element and resistance gaps, plus a modeled strength score. It's an estimate from game data, not a win rate, but it spots the common problems: no area damage, no engine, or a shared weakness.

  • One card generates element points
  • Most damage is in one or two elements
  • At least 3,000 total HP
  • One card hits all enemies or several targets
  • A Tox plan decided before the match

Guide FAQ

How many cards can a SPAM deck have?

Exactly four, and all four start on the board.

Can I use two copies of the same card?

Decks are built from your collection one card per slot; duplicates you pull unlock talents and styles instead.

What is the best element in SPAM?

No element is best on its own; decks that stack points in one or two elements are strong in any of them. See the elements pages for each element's cards.

What Tox should a new deck buy?

Berserk is the safest general buy because it raises the damage and healing of all your cards; Hearts are better when most of your damage is one element.
