SPAM Talents Guide: How Talents Work and the Best Picks
How talents work in the SPAM card game: three per card, one active per match, unlocked by duplicates, picked in the ranked talent draft. Plus the most common talents explained.
Every SPAM card has three talents: hidden bonuses that change how the card plays. Only one is active per match and your opponent can't see which, so the right talent is both a power boost and a small mind game. There are 80 different talents across the 127 released cards.
How talents work
- 1Unlock
Pulling a duplicate of a card from an orb unlocks one of its talents.
- 2Choose
In casual matches, the talent set on the card in your collection is used. In ranked, a 30-second draft before the match lets you pick from the talents you own.
- 3Play
The talent is hidden from your opponent and active for the whole match.

Most common talents
Evolution is on 20 cards: it changes a card's starting passives to a different rarity based on its HP. Ultimate Reset (13 cards) fully heals a card that lands a kill. Cavalry and Focus are on 12 cards each. Every talent, with the cards that offer it, is listed on the talents page.
How we pick a 'best talent'
Card pages mark a modeled pick when a talent measurably improves the card in our expected-value model. Talents that depend on events the model doesn't simulate, such as deaths or being attacked, get no pick rather than a guess. Details are on the methodology page.
