Best SPAM Starter Decks for F2P Players (Commons Only)
Three strong SPAM starter decks built only from common cards — Feather Storm, Specter Swarm and Bloom Heal — with talents, Tox plans and how to play them.
You don't need Legendary cards to win in SPAM. Over half of the released cards (66 of 127) are common, and several of them sit near the top of our card ranking. These three starter decks use only common cards, so any new account can build them quickly.
Why these commons
- Polychrome Owl — Dance of Feathers fires six 30-damage hits, one in each element, at random cards every two turns, so every element point you gain makes it stronger.
- Aidan — Luckster adds +10 to a random element every turn, and Pay-torch spends 10 Fire points on a 30-damage hit; he starts with the Legendary Vanish Tox.
- Moxilys, the Humming One — Doubleshadow hits all enemy cards for 15 Shadow and adds +2 Shadow; Regenair heals every turn. 900 HP.
- Canine Specter — Bang-Boom deals 20 Shadow and 20 Light to all enemies every two turns and starts with Shadowheart and Lightheart. 1,000 HP.
1. Feather Storm
Feather Storm: Polychrome Owl, Moxilys, the Humming One, Aidan and Catimimi. Aidan feeds random element points every turn, Catimimi's Darkflight Slap hits all enemies in Shadow, Nature and Fire and adds 3 to each, and Polychrome Owl turns every element into damage. Talents: Life-8 on Moxilys, Magic Coin on Catimimi.
2. Specter Swarm
Specter Swarm swaps Catimimi for Canine Specter: more HP and area damage that grows with Shadow and Light points from its own Hearts. Talents: Life-8 on Moxilys, Hardening (+15% resistances) on Canine Specter.
3. Bloom Heal
Bloom Heal is the slow, safe option: Floral Zombie (1,000 HP, Waterheart and Natureheart, Aquatic Curse) and Glimmer of Hope (heals and a random +15 resistance every turn) keep the deck alive while Polychrome Owl and Aidan scale. Talent: Revaluation on Floral Zombie for more Spamtons.

Upgrading later
When you pull rarer cards, the natural upgrades are Commando Gerz (Rare, +3 Earth and +3 Light every two turns, starts with Berserk) and Mistress of Tints (Rare, +3 in every element). Both slot into these decks. The deck builder shows what each swap changes.
