The dead bride's wreath looks wilted and seems to be missing one of its ribbons. I wonder where she might have left it... Perhaps I should search the chapel grounds? She spent a lot of her time praying there.

The missing ribbon was lying peacefully on a grave next to the chapel. Apparently, it had belonged to the young man who passed away before she met her future husband. It looks like she had never forgotten him, even when she was to be wed to another. She would probably have wanted this ribbon to be braided into her wedding wreath as a way to commemorate her deceased beloved.

I have braided the missing ribbon into the wreath — it suddenly looks much more alive. I have a feeling this is something the drowned bride would have wanted.

I wove the ribbon into the withered wreath. Why do I feel as if this isn't the end of the story? Perhaps time is the answer? Maybe some stories simply need time - enough of it so that what once seemed impossible can become possible.
