The joint operation with Verteron Legion failed. We had little expectation of victory, but to think we failed even to inflict the slightest damage on Nahid Fortress's walls... We had little choice but to flee. With the concentration of Odyle having fallen so low, it no longer sustains us like it used to. My wounded comrades call out for Empyrean Lord Ariel, but there is no response. Even if light exists beyond that Bulwark, it does not reach us. Ishtar's forces are too strong. We're doomed. Maybe that young Daeva was right—crossing the Bulwark might be our only path to peace. All I know is, as long as we're alive, the war goes on. If I were to give this journal of mine a title, it would be: A Record of a Battle Without End.
