William,
There exist forces in this world that defy common comprehension, and I, more than most, am intimately acquainted with their depths. What you view as mere labour is, to me, the very breath of my existence. I cannot, and will not, permit you to dismantle a lifetime of meticulous endeavour.
I find it necessary to remove you from the board. You are a pawn, William. It is a harsh truth, but history teaches us that wars are won by the calculated sacrifice of pieces such as yourself.
Despite this necessity, pray believe me when I say I have always held your character in the highest esteem. You are a truly singular specimen, and it is my sincere hope that Bonaparte accords you the specialised treatment your unique nature deserves.
With the utmost respect,
Louis Moreau
