Louis is a curious man. At first glance, he appears cold and rather brusque, as though he fears putting aside the armour of his arrogance. He claims to be a physician and speaks at length in a complicated manner, as if possessed of considerable learning in the medical sciences.

His thoughts seem constantly occupied with the research he once conducted. A most intriguing character.

Louis appears to know more than he is willing to share. At first, he might pass for an ordinary military doctor, yet the more he speaks, the clearer it becomes that his knowledge far exceeds that usually possessed by men of his profession.

Moreover, the way in which he repeatedly returns to the subject of his research — and to the matter of the cave — strikes me as highly suspicious. He is concealing something... though what it may be, I cannot yet say.

Louis Moreau is the physician James sends William to find in Fallen Village. He comes across as cold and arrogant, talks at length about his old research, keeps returning to the subject of the cave, and clearly knows more than an ordinary army doctor should. His Laboratoire stands at the hub and in Entropy.

His research drives the plot: the caves, the notes from the University and the tome that points to the relic in the castle. When William returns to the camp after his capture, Louis has gone, taking his notes and the 'key'. An 'Excerpt from Dr. Moreau's Journal' lies in the University laboratories.
