How to use Glass Soldier
CalculatedGlass Soldier adds 20% melee damage (25% at rank II, interpolated, and 30% at rank III) but lowers your Melee, Ranged, Transmutation and Explosive damage resistance by 40% at every rank. The first copy is in a chest in Fallen Village; The Outskirts holds two more (a chest and the Volunteers elite), so rank III comes in region VII, and a fourth, spare copy drops from the Eternal Guardsman elite in Fortress (the Amber tops out at rank III).
The −40% is fixed while the bonus grows, so the Amber gets better with every copy. It is the centre of the glass-cannon build with Warrior's Fury and Indestructible Shell (40% explosive resistance at rank I cancels the explosive penalty), and works with Butcher's Carnage, whose lifesteal grows with the extra damage.
Written from the Amber's own parameters, where its copies are placed and its listed pairings; rank II values marked as interpolated are estimates between rank I and rank III.
