How to get Ambersmith
Game dataIn-game condition: “Gather all Ambers.”
Ambersmith unlocks when you own all 29 Ambers. Most come from chests (44 chest placements between them), but six never appear in a chest and need something else: Sleight of Hand is a reward from the side quest An Unheard Farewell (Valley of Ashes); Silent Squeak is a gift in City of Orphans; and Equivalent Exchange, Bountiful Harvest, Fire Breathing and Payback drop from Enraged elites (a Risen Sapeur in the Vale of Wrath, Volunteers in City of Orphans, and Remnants of the Iron Regiment in the Fortress and the University).
Many Ambers have more than one source, so a missed chest isn't fatal: Lucky Shot, for example, sits in three chests and is also a quest reward. Use the table below to tick them off; every Amber's page lists its exact sources. Enraged elites have red, glowing eyes and never respawn, but they don't disappear either, so you can come back for them by fast travel.

Can you miss Ambersmith?
What can lock this achievement out on a playthrough, according to the game data.
One Amber can be lost to how a quest ends. An Unheard Farewell has two reward branches in the game data: one pays Lucky Shot, the other Sleight of Hand. Lucky Shot is also in three chests, but Sleight of Hand has no other source, so Ambersmith needs the branch that pays Sleight of Hand. The data doesn't label which ending pays which, so if you finish the quest and receive Lucky Shot, Sleight of Hand is not available on that playthrough.
Everything else stays available until Napoleon's Prison, which, like Entropy, has no fast travel back to the regions with the chests and elites.
