How to get A Bitter Cure
Game dataIn-game condition: “Complete the Laudanum quest.”
A Bitter Cure unlocks when you complete Laudanum, a side quest in The Outskirts. An old lady who runs a sick house asks you for laudanum for the children in her care, and points you to a drunk called Barnaby who recently buried his dog, Scruffy.
Scruffy's grave and Barnaby's diary are near the Lighthouse Lantern; the Sickroom Flyer, the Old Lady's Diary and a Sick Child's Diary are near Market Square. Read them: the quest has two endings, and which one you get depends on what you find out about the sick house and what goes into the bottle. Both are marked as endings in the quest data. The reward is a Mythic Catalyst Clot, worth 2,000 Catalysts.
The Laudanum quest page covers both endings, behind a spoiler.
