How to get Behemoth

Game data

In-game condition: “Defeat Nephtis Superioris.”

Behemoth unlocks when you defeat Captain Raphael of the Nephtis Superioris, the ninth boss, in the Fortress during Chapter X Shackled. The High Tower Lantern is about 36 m away.

Raphael has 4,000 Health and the biggest Posture bar of any boss, 2,000, so expect a long fight; his second stage begins at 2,000 Health. Three of his ten attacks are unblockable: an explosion (his hardest hit, 100), a heavy strike and a Fire Slash that sets you alight. He resists 30% of Ranged damage but his head takes double, so close-range Blade work with the occasional headshot is the plan. He has no elemental weakness.

The kill pays 50,000 Catalysts, more than any boss before him.
