How to get Fight Fire with Fire
Game dataIn-game condition: “Ignite an enemy while you are also Ignited.”
Fight Fire with Fire needs you to ignite an enemy while you are Ignited yourself. Ignite on you lasts 8 seconds, so that is your window.
Three things in the game set you on fire: torch-carrying Shambling Civilians (seven in Fallen Village, the earliest), the flamethrower of rifle-armed Volunteers (first in the Caverns) and Captain Raphael's Fire Slash. Let one of them light you, then ignite something straight back with the Fire Transmutation, a Flaming Whetstone (40% of the Ignite meter per hit) or Fire-Clad Rounds (50% per shot).
The Fire Transmutation is quickest: it is in your hands from Chapter I and starts building Ignite the moment the flame touches.
