How to get Jackknife
Game dataIn-game condition: “Deal damage with every Melee Weapon, Firearm, and Transmutation without dying.”
Jackknife needs damage from every weapon (all three Blades, all three Firearms and all three Transmutations) without dying in between. That means owning all nine first, which only happens once the Shield Transmutation is handed over in the University (Chapter IX).
Do it in one controlled fight. Pick a sturdy enemy near a Lantern, such as a Risen Grenadier (500 Health at level 1) or a Volunteer (650), and land one hit with each weapon: Saber, Rapier and Claymore swings; Pistol, Musket and Blunderbuss shots; a Fire Transmutation burst. The Stasis Transmutation deals damage when a Stasis segment fills, so keep freezing until one pops. The Shield deals damage through the wave it releases after blocking an attack, or through Shield Bash at Shield level 5.
Switching weapons has a 1-second cooldown, so take your time: the run only fails if you die.
