You do not get it on purpose. Nothing you can carry applies Eikthyr; it comes from the world — weather, water, fire or a fall — which is why there is nothing to craft for it.
How long does Eikthyr last?
5 min. Reapplying it restarts the timer rather than stacking a second copy, so there is no benefit to drinking two.
Can you use Eikthyr again straight away?
No — it has a cooldown, listed above with its duration. A Forsaken power is the clearest case: it runs for its full length and then you wait, which makes when you trigger it matter more than which one you carry.
Does Eikthyr stack in Valheim?
Not with itself. Applying Eikthyr again replaces the existing one rather than adding to it, so a second source is spent for nothing unless the first has run out. It does sit alongside other effects perfectly happily — the restriction is on duplicates, not on how many different effects you carry.
