Valheim achievements FAQ
How many achievements does Valheim have?
53, of which 16 are hidden and do not show their condition until unlocked. They split across 7 kinds of goal, from single boss kills to lists of hundreds of entries.
What is the hardest Valheim achievement?
The Toughest Viking asks for every boss on the hardest world difficulty, so it needs a full playthrough with no margin. The completion achievements are longer but not as punishing: they ask for every dish, every craftable item and every build piece, which is patience rather than risk.
Do achievements carry over between worlds?
Progress is tracked per character rather than per world, so a boss killed in one world still counts. The world-key achievements are the exception, since the key belongs to the world it was set in.
How many secret achievements are in Valheim?
16 of the 53 are hidden until they fire, so the game shows neither their name nor their condition while you are working towards them. The requirement is identical either way — secrecy is presentation, not difficulty — which is why every one of them is written out in full here.
What categories do Valheim achievements fall into?
