Valheim Boss FAQ
What order do you fight Valheim bosses in?
The intended order is Eikthyr -> The Elder -> Bonemass -> Moder -> Yagluth -> The Queen -> Fader -> Kall Fimbulbringer. Progression is enforced by materials rather than a quest log, so each boss unlocks the gear you need for the next biome.
Who is the first boss in Valheim?
Eikthyr, found in the Meadows. Summoning requires an offering placed at the altar, and the fight is designed to be beaten with the earliest gear in the game.
What are Forsaken powers in Valheim?
Each boss drops a trophy which, hung on a sacrificial stone, grants an activatable power. There are 7, only one can be active at a time, and each lasts 5 min on a 20 min cooldown. What they do: Eikthyr (Running stamina -60% · Jump stamina -60% · Swim stamina -60%); The Elder (Health regeneration +30% · +60% Chop, Pickaxe damage); Bonemass (Block stamina -100% · Blunt, Slash, Pierce: Slightly resistant · Block stamina -5); Moder (Frost: Resistant · Carry weight +300 · Movement speed +10%); Yagluth (Farming +25 · +10% Chop, Fire, Blunt, Frost, Slash, Pierce, Poison, Spirit, Pickaxe, Lightning damage · Lightning: Resistant); The Queen (Eitr regeneration +100% · Sneak stamina -100% · Poison: Resistant); Fader (Fire: Resistant · Stagger taken -50% · Adrenaline gain +100%).
How many bosses are in Valheim?
8, in this order: Eikthyr -> The Elder -> Bonemass -> Moder -> Yagluth -> The Queen -> Fader -> Kall Fimbulbringer. Each one gates the materials the next tier is built from, so the sequence is enforced by your gear rather than by the game — nothing stops you sailing ahead, it just means arriving underequipped.
How long do Forsaken powers last in Valheim?
5 min of effect, then 20 min before it can be used again, across all 7 of them. Only one can be active at a time and swapping is free at any sacrificial stone, so the power is chosen per expedition rather than settled on once.
