How to get Torn Banner
Game dataIn-game condition: “Kill General Lothaire, the Eagle-Bearer.”
Torn Banner unlocks when General Lothaire, the Eagle-Bearer dies. He is the first of the game's ten bosses, fought on The Battlefield in Chapter I Revival, and the Field Encampment Lantern is only about 71 m from his arena.
Lothaire has 1,800 Health and 500 Posture, and he calls in soldiers during the fight: nine of the moves in his data belong to the sabre and rifle men he summons. Nine of his own attacks are unblockable, so learn the red glow and dodge them; a Perfect Dodge empowers your next hit. Fire hurts him most (his fire-damage resistance is −40%, so fire deals 40% extra damage (his separate Ignite build-up resistance is 30%)) and his head takes double damage, so the Fire Transmutation and the Pistol you are given on the Battlefield both pay off.
The kill pays 10,000 Catalysts, and Lothaire also carries a Commander's Catalyst Clot worth another 10,000: a big early level spike.
