The Master Hunter
Kill every kind of creature on hard difficulty.

Requires105
Counts towards
The Master Hunter is a Combat achievement, and the game checks 105 separate things before it unlocks — 104 of them have a page of their own, linked above. The one-line description Valheim shows you does not list any of them, which is why a long achievement can feel like it is not tracking: it is, against the list above.

How to get The Master Hunter
How do you unlock The Master Hunter in Valheim?
By satisfying all 105 conditions listed above. 104 of them have their own page, so you can work through them one at a time.
Do you need a fresh world for The Master Hunter?
Not on its own. Progress is tracked per character rather than per world, so anything you have already done in another world still counts towards it.
Does world difficulty matter for The Master Hunter?
Yes, and this is one of the very few where it does. The Master Hunter carries a difficulty requirement, which means a world set below that level will never fire it no matter what you do in the world. Only three of the game’s achievements are gated this way, so it is easy to miss until the counter refuses to move.
How is progress towards The Master Hunter tracked?
Against your player profile rather than the world, through the conditions listed above, 105 of them. The game keeps running counters — things killed, items crafted, food eaten, pieces placed — and checks them whenever one changes, so progress carries between worlds and characters rather than resetting with a save.
What do you get for The Master Hunter?
Nothing, mechanically. There is no reward field on an achievement anywhere in the game: it holds an icon, its conditions, a difficulty requirement and a flag saying whether it has fired. No item, no power, no recipe. They are a record of what you have done, not a progression system.
