What bait catches Tuna?
Heavy Fishing Bait. No other bait works — Valheim decides the catch from the hook, not the location, so fishing the right water with the wrong bait returns nothing.
Where do you find Tuna?
In Ocean water, between 4 and any depth metres deep. Shallower than that and it will not be there; the float has to sit over water that deep.

In the Ocean, between 4 and any depth of water. Depth is the real gate — casting into the shallows of the right biome catches nothing if the fish only lives deep.
How much stamina does reeling in Tuna cost?
7 per pull, against a pull strength of 20. Run out of stamina mid-fight and the line goes slack and the fish escapes, so eat before a long session rather than during one.
What else can you catch with the same bait?
Coral Cod. Bait decides the catch in Valheim far more than location does, so the same cast in the same water returns a different fish depending only on what is on the hook.
Does Tuna drop anything besides the fish?
Yes: Tin Ore, Ruby. That comes off the same catch rather than from a separate roll, so it is free.
