This Slay the Spire 2 Defect card tier list ranks the 66 Defect cards with enough recorded data by their win rate when played as the Defect, sorting them into S, B, C, D and F tiers. Unlike the all-classes ranking, every placement here is based on how each card performs specifically in Defect runs — so a card that is only average overall can be a top Defect pick. Tiers use the same percentile method as the rest of the site: the top 15% of cards by Defect win rate land in S, the next 15% in B, and so on down to F. Right now the strongest Defect cards — the S tier — are led by Scrape, Adaptive Strike, FTL, with Scrape posting the highest Defect win rate at 50.0%. Use it to prioritise your card rewards on a Defect run, build around the cards that actually win for the class, and skip the low-tier picks. Win rates update as more Defect runs are recorded.
